Who’s Bad brings its Michael Jackson tribute to the Key West Theater. The group has been at this since 2003 and has logged more than 2,500 performances — theaters, clubs, festivals, and House of Blues rooms across the U.S., plus tours through the U.K., China, Thailand, Mexico, Canada, Germany, and the Gulf states, including a run at London’s O2 Arena.
The band’s stated approach is re-creation rather than impersonation: a live cast of musicians and dancers, drawn from backgrounds including Broadway and Super Bowl halftime shows, working through the grooves, vocal inflections, and choreography rather than miming them. Taalib York fronts the group.
Who’s Bad has shared stages with Aretha Franklin, the Four Tops, Boyz II Men, the Backstreet Boys, and Pitbull. Michael Jackson’s longtime manager Frank DiLeo said after seeing the show that Michael would have been proud.
