Celebrate a Fly Fishing Legend: Del Brown
The Del Brown Permit Tournament is an exclusive and prestigious fly fishing tournament. This annual event is dedicated to the man who made permit fishing with a fly rod famous: the late Del Brown, who caught 513 permit on a fly rod in the Florida Keys.
Test Your Mettle with 3 Days of Del Brown Permit Tournament Events
The permit is one of the most difficult fish to catch on a fly rod. The field is limited to just 20 boats, over 3 days of fishing. Part of the proceeds go to the Tarpon and Bonefish Trust for a better understanding of, and more effective conservation of Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit, important species to Florida Keys tourism.

5 PM Cocktails & Dinner – South of the Seven – Mile Marker 17 at Sugarloaf Lodge
Kick-off for tournament, captains meeting, hand out tournament bags
MONDAY, JULY 13th
6:30 AM Sign-in – Breakfast, coffee and juice, pick up lunch to go
7:30 AM Boats may depart for fishing
3:30 PM Lines Out** – Scorekeeping, Appetizers and Drinks at South of the Seven
5:00 PM Scoring Closes – All releases must be recorded with scorekeeper
TUESDAY, JULY 14th
6:30 AM Sign-in – Breakfast, coffee and juice, pick up lunch to go
7:30 AM Boats may depart for fishing
3:30 PM Lines Out** – Scorekeeping, Appetizers and Drinks at South of the Seven
