FLORIDA KEYS -- 3.22.2020 - Florida Keys government officials have temporarily closed the island destination to visitors until further notice, citing concerns about increasing coronavirus threats. Florida Keys lodging businesses and virtually all other tourism-related businesses have temporarily ceased operations. We are receiving an unprecedented number of calls and emails regarding the current situation. Since it changes week by week, day by day, hour by hour, we are contacting affected Guests that were due to arrive 2 – 3 weeks out so that they and we may begin the cancellation and re-booking and/or refund process. We have been and will continue to reach out to these Guests on a “rolling calendar” basis, meaning once your reservation is 2 to 3 weeks out you will hear from us. This outreach schedule will be in effect for as long as necessary due to closure. This is important because the situation at the time of your originally scheduled arrival date (i.e. governmental actions/directives) will help inform and in some cases govern our cancel/re-book/refund offerings outside of what we would and could do per the rental agreement under normal circumstances. If you purchased Trip Insurance that also comes into play. And we won't know those items until your arrival date is close or at hand. Of course, you are always welcome to contact us prior to that if your situation should warrant or to ask any questions.
Please stay safe and take care as we all hunker down.
(Please note due to City directives our office is closed to the public until said order is lifted.)
