The Key West Lobsterfest began as an argument between friends over who made the best Lobster Chilau. Naturally the only way to answer this most important question was a cook-off! Contestants tweaked their age-old family recipes and judges were assembled. The inaugural contest occurred in the courtyard of the Rick’s & Durty Harry’s Entertainment Complex and the event was a huge success. We won’t tell you who won. The next year the event was moved onto Duval Street to accommodate more participants, spectators, sponsors and more! Over the years Lobsterfest has grown, and now spans 4 days and numerous locations throughout Key West!

Fresh Lobster – Every year we celebrate the opening of Lobster Season by throwing the biggest party of the summer!
