The Linda Ronstadt Experience brings its tribute concert to the Key West Theater, fronted by American Idol alum Tristan McIntosh and backed by a full band. The show focuses on Ronstadt at the peak of her career, when she was the biggest-selling female recording artist in the country.
The set covers the chart singles — “You’re No Good,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Blue Bayou” — along with songs Ronstadt made famous by Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Warren Zevon, and the Rolling Stones. Ronstadt’s gift as an interpreter was picking material from writers who hadn’t broken through yet and turning their songs into hits, and the show leans into that range.
